چکیده
• Metronidazol-polymer composites were prepared by nano spray drying. In the solid dispersion metronidazol was crystalline and amorphous in polymer matrix. Melting point decrease phenomena observed DSC measurement. Peak broadening XRD analysis. The composite microparticles nanostructured. this study metronidazole drug encapsulated hydroxypropyl methylcellulose polyvinylpyrrolidone polymers from solutions using drying technology. influence of process parameters formulation variables investigated on product morhology structure, production yield entrapment efficiency. use surface active admixtures (polyvinyl alcohol, Tween-80 Pluronic F68) increased substantially. entrapped partially state both as confirmed powder X-ray diffraction measurements. with degree crystallinity between 50.2 81.0%, 35.0 50.0% (with respect to content). differential scanning calorimetry bulk dried products. indicated measurements, which could be result formation small crystallites. TEM images showed beside larger crystals (200–400 nm) a fraction smaller (20–50 nm diameter), are good correlation calculated coherent scattering domain sizes 19–87 based data. drug-polymer produced identified crystalline-amorphous nanostructured micronized dispersions.

Characterization of Amorphous and Co-Amorphous Simvastatin Formulations Prepared by Spray Drying.
In this study, spray drying from aqueous solutions, using the surface-active agent sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) as a solubilizer, was explored as a production method for co-amorphous simvastatin-lysine (SVS-LYS) at 1:1 molar mixtures, which previously have been observed to form a co-amorphous mixture upon ball milling. In addition, a spray-dried formulation of SVS without LYS was prepared. Energ...
متن کاملProperties of Nanostructured Hydroxyapatite Prepared by a Spray Drying Technique
In previous studies nano sized hydroxyapatite (HA) particles were prepared by solgel or precipitation methods, in which the products were washed by aqueous or non-aqueous liquids to remove impurities or undesired components. The washing is know to modify the surfaces of the cystalline particles. This study evaluated properties of nano HA materials prepared by a spray drying method in which the ...

polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) can markedly enhance the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs. The mechanism responsible for such enhanced dissolution has been the subject of debate. Some authors have proposed that the increased drug dissolution rate is due to the formation of a high-energy amorphous drug phase. Several water-soluble polymer carrier systems, such as polyethylene glycol (PEG), P...
متن کاملIncrease in Dissolution Rate of Simvastatin by Amorphous Solid Dispersion System with Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Polymer
The objective of the present study was to prepare amorphous solid dispersion system simvastatin–hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) to enhance the dissolution rate. Amorphous solid dispersion of simvastatin was prepared by solvent technique using HPMC as carrier with ratio of 1:1, 1:3 and 1:5 (w/w). Physicochemical properties of solid dispersions were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, t...

Objective: Bioactive glass 45S5 is a surface reactive glass-ceramic biomaterial, developed in 1969. BAG 45S5 with particle size of 20-60 nm has the ability of bone regeneration, broad spectrum antibacterial effect, repairs and replaces diseased or damaged bone. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial activity and determine MIC and MBC values of nano-BAG45S5 on Streptococcus mu...
